Why the boost post button is burning your ad budget
Every contractor we meet in the CSRA has tried the blue Boost Post button. It is right there, it costs twenty dollars, and Facebook promises more people will see your work. The problem is what Facebook optimizes for when you press it: engagement. Likes from your cousin in Grovetown are cheaper for Meta to deliver than a homeowner in Evans who needs a condenser replaced this week.
A real lead campaign is built in Ads Manager with a leads or calls objective, a conversion event tied to a booked job, and a geographic radius that stops at the edge of your service area. That structure tells the algorithm to hunt for people who behave like your paying customers, not people who behave like scrollers.
The fix is not more budget. It is telling the platform what a win actually looks like: a form completion from a homeowner inside your zip codes, with a phone number that answers.
